Sensation's Little Big Man

Sensation's Little Big Man "Chief"

    Sire: Merry Boy Sensation

Dam: Fury's Free Spirit

Chief's top side is Merry Boy Sensation, sire of many World Champions.

Sensation's tradition of producing ribbon winners goes back several generations and Chief has proven that his offspring are show ring winners too.  Chief's bottom side is the product of Blue Daniel and a walking bred mare going back to Mack K's Handshaker.

Check out his Pedigree

There are few direct sons of the great Merry Boy Sensation left but here is a good one!  Merry Boy Sensation was the sire of the 1986 and 1987 World Grand Champions as well as the 1988 World Grand Champion 3 year old. He produced ribbon winners for years before passing away in 1995.  Merry Boy Sensation became known for consistently producing both fillys and colts with deep sloping shoulders that allowed the colts at maturity to reach out with great extension. This has become known as a "Sensation" front end.  In addition his trademark was extremely gentle dispositions. For years countless amateurs have trained their own "Sensation" offspring as they are so willing.  "Little Big Man" is the result of crossing Merry Boy Sensation with a wonderful little grey mare, Fury's Free Spirit.

Fury's Free Spirit is out of Blue Daniel, a former Model Champion and a walking bred mare that goes back to the well known Mack K's Handshaker.  Little Big Man was brought out to the show ring as a 3 year old. At the 1987 Futurity he won 2nd in the studs and geldings qualifying class. He proudly placed 8th in the championship out of 145 total entries ridden by a rider he had never had before that night.

Little Big Man went on that year to place 9th in the overall 3 year old World Grand Championships against horses from all over the United States, many who had started their careers as 2 year olds. As a 4 year old he won numerous Hi-point awards in Performance, Model, and Ladies displaying his versatility and willing attitude.

Little Big Man (Chief) has not been offered to the public for several years. He was crossed with the mares on our farm, the colts we didn't keep to show ourselves were sold out every year. Most were bought and trained by amateurs and shown successfully in both Model and Performance or ridden for pleasure with smooth gaits and gentle attitudes. Our mare lines included Yankee, Traveler, Frosty Zane, Black Cloud, Master Tom, and Zane's Go Boy, all these made excellent foals - with colors from black, grey to palamino. Chief even line crosses well with other Sensation daughters.  It's in the bloodlines - get some Sensation - up close!  One of many winning offspring is Sensation's Little League.
