Each year, the KCRFTHA hosts various seminars.  Seminars topics vary from educational seminars to riding clinics.  Typically, seminars are open to anyone that would like to attend; however, there may be a small charge for non-KCRFTHA members.  Below is the schedule for upcoming KCRFTHA seminars.

 
When:  February 18, 2012

Time:  9:30 a.m., registration at 8:45 a.m.

Morning Session Topic:  The Unique Aspects of Shoeing the Missouri Fox Trotting Horse, presented by Mark Holifield

Topics will include:

  • How hoof angles impact gait

  • Hoof and leg conformation issues

  • How shoeing a Missouri Fox Trotter is different from a stock horse

  • Shoeing Q&A

Afternoon Session Topic: Refining the Gaits of the Missouri Fox Trotter, presented by David Ogle

Topics will include:

  • How headset and bitting influences gait

  • General gait discussion of the flat walk, fox trot and canter

  • Gait training Q&A

Location:  The Family Center, Mill-Walk Mall, 2601 Cantrell Road, Harrisonville, MO 64701    Click HERE to view Map.

Notes:   Seminar is FREE for KCRFTHA members.  Non-members are welcome.  $10/person, fee includes an optional free membership in the KCRFTHA.  Youth 17 and under are free with an adult.  Chili lunch provided.  Attendees will be entered in drawing for various door prizes.
