Dear Friends,
The Mid America Fox Trotting Horse
Association has revised the 2009 show season to one three day show in
lieu of a Spring and Fall Show. Some of you may or may not be informed
of this, to date.
The “Mid Am Grand Slam” show will
be held June 25, 26 and 27, 2009 at the Ozarks Empire Fairgrounds in
Springfield, Missouri and will showcase the Two Year Old Futurity
(previously held in May) and a new class to showcase only four year old
horses called the Four Year Old Maturity. Like the Futurity, the
Maturity class also requires a nomination fee ($200 due by April 1,
2009) and will feature larger paybacks. There will be a total of fifteen
championship classes in this event. The new show format will help
consolidate expenses from the two individual shows and allow for larger
monetary paybacks and prizes to not only the Futurity and Maturity
classes, but also the regular classes. (Forms are available on the
website or you may contact any Board Member to request a
nomination/entry form)
We are currently accepting sponsorships
or donations for our show, show program and new website listings (the
site is currently under construction) and would like to request your
support again this year or as a first time sponsor. If you
donate/sponsor $200 or more on any contribution to Mid America, we will
include a listing on the new website at no added charge. (limited to six
lines in address label format) Many of you have graciously supported our
shows in the last few years and we truly appreciate your generosity.

Auction/Bowling Party on your calendar for Sunday, March 22, 2009. You
may contact Rhonda Holifield or a Board Member to register your
team.

show in late June and the Spring Fling in March.
