The Northwest Arkansas Fox Trotting Horse Breed Association
is a
group of fox trotting horse lovers whose ultimate goal
is to promote
the fox trotting horse as a distinct and versatile breed; educate
all horse owners
about proper gait and showmanship; promote youth horsemanship; provide
opportunities for owners to exhibit and ride their horses and to
disseminate
knowledge and news about the Missouri Fox Trotter from the
Missouri Fox Trotting Horse Breed Association.
Each Month, members and guests gather at the Pauline
Whitaker Equine Center
to enjoy an informative program by guest speakers, many of them
experts in their
fields, on products, issues and opportunities for the horse owner.
Club news and
business is discussed and members socialize over home baked goodies.
Members enjoy a monthly newsletter updating the shows, trail rides,
fun days
and parades to come as well as featuring a Fox Trotter Family of
the Month and
articles of interest and concern for Fox Trotter Horse Owners.
Special clinics and seminars given by renowned trainers are scheduled
and
offer one-on-one instruction for club members and their horses.
Active youth
programs, promotional and social events insure that the NWAFTHBA
has a
place for everyone to enjoy their fox trotting horse.
The NWAFTHBA meets every 4th Monday night of the month at 7 p.m.
in the
University of Arkansas Pauline Whitaker Equine Center arena classrooms
in Fayetteville. Everyone is welcome.
