The P BAR T stables are located in Independence, Minnesota, just 25 miles west of Minneapolis. Since the weather in Minnesota is not conducive to rear round training and riding, we have a 70 X 120 heated indoor arena. Our 40 acre property is part of a private trail system that is also used by the Long Lake Hounds Hunt Club. We ride our Missouri Foxtrotters in the arena, on the trails and in the show ring.

Phill and Barb rode their first Foxtrotters 16 years ago at a Pointing Dog Field Trial in South Carolina. That ride convinced us that the smooth gait and wonderful disposition of these horses were what we were looking for in our own horses. Since then we have enjoyed trail riding, showing and breeding our Foxtrotters.

We like quality, color and proven bloodlines. We breed for natural performance, disposition and conformation. Our goal is to produce naturally gaited, well built, gentle, intelligent pleasure or show horses for homes where they will be loved and guided to reach their greatest potential.
