CAITLYN AND VELVET WOW THE CROWD!

PAT PARELI'S LOVE LANGUAGE AND LEADERSHIP EVENT

COUNCIL BLUFFS, IOWA JULY 2004

Velvet got the call to be in the Parelli demonstration with Jenny. Jenny's own horse had ran into something in the pasture and had a messy leg. Velvet was healthy and ready!

Caitlyn had been practicing riding Velvet with the halter and she was able to steer and stop Velvet. She was good to go!

There were 2000+ people at the event. Jenny brought Velvet in during the Savvy team demonstration, played with her on the ground and rode her. She then got off and put a little saddle on. In came the little miniature person, Caitlyn. Caitlyn played with her on the ground just a little bit and then Jenny put her in the saddle. Jenny kept the rope on Velvet for a long time as she was giving Caitlyn a riding lesson. At the very end of the demonstration, Jenny let Caitlyn take Velvet off on her own. They did GREAT!

On Sunday, Jenny did the ground games with Velvet and then called Caitlyn into the arena. Jenny led Velvet over to the circus pedastal and Velvet stood on it- front legs. Caitlyn stood up in the saddle! The crowd went wild. Jenny's other daughter, Nicole, was in the arena also. When Caitlyn stood up on Velvet, Nicole did the same thing with Sasha. I bet a thousand pictures were taken of the two girls!

Then Jenny got really brave and let Caitlyn go off on her own. Here are the two sisters going fast around the arena. Remember, at this time Caitlyn is three years old!!

On the 2nd day, Caitlyn was used to getting applause whenever she did anything. She got so that she did something and then waited for the applause. She stood up on Velvet again and did a grand theatrical TA DA! for the crowd.

And the crowd went wild!

All too soon, Caitlyn had to get off. Jenny and the other instructors spend about 2 hours in the arena while Pat gave them a lesson...and played some challenging games. Velvet did great the entire time. Jenny was glad that she was riding Velvet with her fox trot. Pat had the Savvy Team trot for about a half hour! Ahhhh, to ride is Fox Trotter is to experience COMFORT!
